POOL: Tunnel dampers


The multileaf dampers are needed for ventilation and smoke extract control in underground transport systems.

  • Multileaf dampers are available in a variety of constructions. If required a number of basic moduls can be used to form a multiple damper assembly.
  • Made of steel or stainless steel.
  • Bearings are manufactured exclusively made of stainless steel or special bearing materials.

In normal operation, the dampers are used to control the volumetric air flow rate extracted from the tunnel.
In the event of a fire, the dampers near the seat of the fire are fully opened automatically immediately after detection of the fire.
