TROX multi service chilled beams at Terminal 5 Heathrow
The newly built Terminal 5 of London's HeathrowAirport is the UK’s largest free standing building. The floor to ceiling glass walls and the departure lounge’s single-span, waveform glass roof mean the space is bathed in natural light and offer amazing views of the world’s busiest international airfield.
TROX is Great Britain's leading supplier for air conditioning and ventilation systems and was awarded the project to develop and produce Multi Service Chilled Beams for the luxurious "Galleries", which are the British Airways business lounges. In addition to providing the multi service chilled beams, TROX also supplied fan coil units and air grills for this prestigious project.
The specifically developed architectural shapes of the air-water systems were adapted to the ceiling structure and contain many different types of lighting. The design was developed in close cooperation with YRM Ltd. architects and the WSP Group.
