The former headquarters of VEBA at Bennigsenplatz 1 in Düsseldorf is currently being renovated. The 11-storey building, to which an additional floor has already been added, is now getting a new façade  with windows that can be opened and a decentralised ventilation and air-conditioning system. The property has been pre-certified with Silver by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (DGNB) (Germany Society for Sustainable Building).

TROX products will ensure that the modern ventilation concept works whilst the high comfort requirements are met.

The individual mechanical ventilation of the regular storeys takes place using decentralised air handling units of Type FSL-B-ZAB integrated into the sill area in the façade. In addition to ventilation with heat recovery and air filtering, this equipment concept guarantees the heating and cooling of the offices. The units were manufactured under consideration of the on-site, project-specific conditions.

In addition to the these supply and extract air units, secondary air handling unit of Type FSL-B-SEK have been installed for the dissipation of higher thermal loads.

The units persuade due to their low sound power level, a stable outdoor air supply independent of the weather and wind situation, and an optimum introduction of supply air.

Special features:

  • Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
  • Heat exchanger unit for cooling and heating
  • Installation in front of the sill
  • Displacement flow horizontal air discharge
  • Energy-efficient radial flow fans
  • Controlled/limited outdoor air stream, independent of the wind pressure
  • Low sound power
