New TROX active chilled beams
Low false ceiling voids are often a problem in the refurbishment of buildings when it comes to the installation of ventilation components. The TROX product range now includes two new active chilled beams which solve this problem.
With the DID604, for the first time TROX is presenting an active chilled beam with four-way air discharge and adjustable control blades to control the air discharge direction. In spite of the low height construction, the square or rectangular unit has a vertically mounted heat exchanger with a condensate drip tray. The primary air volume flow required for the fresh air supply enters the upper plenum box through a connecting spigot and is then discharged via nozzles. The secondary air is induced from the room and passes through the heat exchanger. In the mixing zone of the DID604, the secondary air is mixed with primary air and supplied to the room through four-way discharge slot diffusers.
Special characteristics
• High cooling capacity at small, conditioned fresh air flows rates,
low air velocities in the occupied zone and low sound power level
• Adjustable control blades to control the air discharge direction
• Four-way air discharge
• Heat exchanger vertically mounted with condensate drip tray
for low chilled water flow temperatures
• Heat exchanger for two or four pipe systems
• Heating and/or cooling is possible
TROX is also launching the new "classic" active chilled beam DID632. In contrast to the predecessor DID 600B, this model boasts a higher cooling capacity with a reduced primary air flow rate (max. 2,500 Watts at 250 m³/h). The optimised nozzle configuration and unit geometry enhance the cooling capacity of the unit. Adjustable air control blades control the direction and velocity of the air discharge, thus selectively reducing the already low air velocities in the occupied zone. The only 210 mm high unit is also available as a supply-extract-air combination and with various front designs.
Special characteristics
• High cooling capacity at small, conditioned fresh air flow rates,
low air velocity in the occupied zone and low sound power level
• Adjustable control blades to control the air discharge direction
• Heat exchanger for two or four pipe systems
• Induced air grille in four designs
• Supply-extract-air combination available
All TROX induction units and chilled beams have now been certified by Eurovent. The certificate confirms that the technical details of the products comply with the technical details published in the selection programme and the technical documentation.
