Some time ago, the technical management of the Essen-Süd (South Essen) medical clinics decided on computer-supported building management (Computer-Aided Facilities Management). The extensive servicing and maintenance work in the hospital buildings is organised and documented using this CAFM system developed by the Thürmer engineering consultancy.
From the beginning, even the function tests of the motorised fire dampers were to be integrated into the CAFM documentation. For this purpose, the TROX fire dampers were equipped with the TROXNETCOM system. This offers the opportunity of automated function tests with logging in the communication master.
The data is transferred to the CAFM system using an interface programme and provides the technical management with the information it needs to optimise the servicing and maintenance work on the fire dampers and reduce costs at any time.
The TROXNETCOM product family is available in two variants. TROXNETCOM - AS-i is an AS-i system for motorised fire and smoke protection dampers. The AS interface (Actuator Sensor Interface - AS-i for short) is a security bus system that as been standardised worldwide and within Europe according to IEC 62026-2 and EN 50295. Technically, it is an open bus system for the lowest field level of automation technology.
TROXNETCOM - LON uses the LON-Bus communication system. LON (Local Operating Network) is a system for building automation used all over the world and is thus suited for projects with a planned LON infrastructure into which the fire protection system can be integrated.
