Existing standard solutions in ventilation technology are often unsuitable for the refurbishment of buildings.Here companies are needed which are capable of using creativity and flexibility to render state-of-the-art technologies operational within traditional architectures.

TROX demonstrated its performance capabilities in this sector in the refurbishment of an office complex in Frankfurt.For the renovation of the air conditioning system at Feldbergstrasse 35, which is home to a branch of the National Westminster Bank AG

as well as other businesses, a special ventilation solution between sill and ceiling was developed in cooperation with the owner and architect.

The features of the room and the usage plans required a ventilation concept that could run without a horizontal air distribution system.This is the only way that combi- and open-plan offices could be facilitated.In the research and development laboratory of TROX/FSL, extensive air distribution tests were carried out so that the project requirements could be fulfilled.

The advantage of using decentralised equipment was that no suspended ceilings were needed for ducting. Furthermore, the high flexibility thanks to the room regulation and the customisable billing methods were important bonus points.
